If the personal library does not contain enough data, import the public opportunities currently recommended for Codex:

  1. Open My Backlink Library and click Import URLs.
  2. Open Recommended packages.
  3. Select Recommended backlinks.
  4. Confirm that only the packages you need are selected, then click Import backlinks.
  5. Review the imported, existing, and invalid counts, then clear filters to view the complete library.

Select the Recommended backlinks package

The real import shown in the video added 245 records, found 59 existing records, and rejected 0 invalid records. The personal library finished with 490 records.

Personal library after the import

“Existing” is not a failure; it means the same submission URL is already in the personal library. Importing expands the library only. It does not create website submission records or submit anything to destination sites.

Submify provides two separate Codex workflows:

WorkflowEntry pointResult
Submit backlinksMy Backlink Library → Codex or Websites → a website → CodexCodex works through destination pages and writes statuses, result URLs, and evidence back to Submify
Prepare website dataNew/Edit Website → Import from URL → Codex JSONCodex returns JSON that can populate empty website fields

1. Before you start

  1. Create and review at least one website project, including its URL, descriptions, email, icon, screenshots, and social links.
  2. Create or enable a Submify API key under API Keys.
  3. Open Codex and make sure it can use the Chrome session you intend to use.
  4. Sign in to any destination accounts you expect to need.
  5. Start with 1 submission and Recommended tasks before increasing the batch size.

Treat the API key as a credential. Use it only in the prompt generated for Codex; never paste it into destination websites, screenshots, proof, or public logs. Disable and replace it if it may have been exposed.

Use this entry when Codex should select from enabled items in your personal library and Submify may choose an available website automatically.

  1. Open My Backlink Library and disable unsuitable opportunities.
  2. Click Codex.
  3. Select an active API key and keep Personal library as the data source.
  4. Choose the maximum submission count and task scope.
  5. Add optional instructions, then click Copy prompt.
  6. Start a Codex task, paste the prompt, and send it.

This entry uses Automatic website. Use the Websites entry when the task must belong to a specific project.

3. Start from a website

Find the website and click Codex in its actions column. Confirm the website name before copying the prompt.

Choose the data source carefully:

Data sourceBehavior
Backlink PlazaSelect eligible public opportunities and create website records when needed
Personal librarySelect enabled opportunities in your personal library and create website records when needed
WebsiteProcess only pending records already associated with this website

Recommended tasks favors free or freemium, verified or observed directory work. All eligible tasks can include paid, unknown-cost, or other submission types. It never authorizes payment.

4. Run and review the submission

After you send the prompt, Codex claims one task at a time, opens the API-provided destination in Chrome, fills the form from the website project, and writes the observed outcome back to Submify.

Stay available for payment decisions, CAPTCHAs, account selection, browser permissions, or verification steps. A single interruption should not be treated as a successful submission.

After the run:

  1. Open Submission Records and filter by website or status.
  2. Review the result URL and evidence.
  3. Verify the public product identity and backlink separately.
  4. Complete the one concrete next action for any needs_user record.
  5. Record blockers and disable unsuitable opportunities when needed.

submitted means accepted or in moderation; live requires a verified public result page and backlink. Other results include duplicate, needs_user, blocked, and skipped.

5. Prepare website data with Codex JSON

  1. Create or edit a website and enter its public URL.
  2. Open Codex JSON and click Copy prompt.
  3. Send the prompt to Codex and copy the complete JSON response.

Copy the Codex website-analysis prompt

  1. Paste the response into Codex JSON editor.
  2. Optionally format it, then click Apply JSON data.
  3. Review all imported details and click Save.

Paste and apply the JSON returned by Codex

Applying JSON fills empty fields only and does not save the website. Keep unknown values empty and verify names, prices, dates, addresses, email addresses, images, and social accounts before saving.
